Manual welding

If you have small items you need welded with a high complexity, we recommend using manual welding over robot welding. At RDF we have a great deal of experience working with manual welding that needs precision. Our competent staff welds with a secure hand to make sure that the items get the desired finish. The complexity of the welding job is not a challenge for us, because our certified welders are used to creating advanced products for our customers.

Robot welding

We recommend robot welding on the other hand if you need to repeat larger series of products many times. Robot welding ensures automated welding with down to a millimeter accuracy in a uniform quality. That means that the robot ensures precise repeatings of an item. At the same time the welding robot is able to perform the process with much more speed and thereby with more efficiency. Welding robots master a different kind of tempo than humans, naturally, which is why serial productions become more inexpensive with robot welding.

What type of welding should you choose?

If you have any doubts on whether or not you should choose manual welding or robot welding, we are more than happy to help you. Our recommendations are based on an evaluation of two aspects. First the complexity of the task. When it comes to dealing with complex items, it is most often beneficial to use manual welding. The second aspect we consider is how large the production needs to be. At larger serial productions it is favorable to choose robot welding which will reduce prices, heighten efficiency and ensure a shorter delivery time.
